I was immediately won over by these guys. The business proprietor, Patrick, was super easy to work with on my oddball request (among other things, installing used OEM MOPAR seats for my Wrangler, bought on eBay and shipped from the eBay seller directly to Pat's shop), and he was very flexible work around my tight business schedule. And another thing I immediately noticed: the shop was well maintained, organized, and clean -- all major pluses considering some of the high-end cars I noticed in the shop that day. And Bill, the talented mechanic and Wrangler enthusiast assigned to my job, was GREAT. He takes obvious pride in his work, and he delivered. I couldn't be happier with the results on the complicated "new" seats" as well as other miscellaneous items, so much so that after I swung by to pick up my Wrangler that same afternoon, we talked shop for quite awhile afterward on other possibilities down the road for future upgrades...to the point that I decided to move my Jeep timetable up aggressively with solid trust in Bill and Pat, taking on the upgrades over the next two weeks (including a lift I'd previously put on hold, that Bill demo'ed with a jack under my Jeep showing me what the lift would look like). Bottom line, these guys are SOLID and SUPERB -- and looking forward to heading back for Round 2 next week -- I know my sweet honey -- my Jeep :) -- will appreciate it. UPDATE 4/10/2018: Pat and Bill (actually, his name is Bela) continue to ROCK -- I took my Jeep back a couple of times since my initial review for a few more addons that have been delivered to me sporadically. All were WINS in the way that Bela treated my Jeep with tremendous care and conscientiousness -- most notably my new lift and new suspension. Yesterday I went back and had my old mud tires replaced with quality BFG KO2 all-terrains...Bela was persistent in tracking down the noise issues that were plaguing the Jeep beyond the old tires...and while I'm still obviously breaking in the new BFGs, the Jeep feels like it's gliding on air now. I'm basically driving what feels like a brand new ride now. These gents are great guys, fair prices, quality customer care, and have become my go-to's for my Jeep needs. No need to head over to the East Bay or even Sac for this kind of work now.

I took my Dodge van to San Francisco Automotive Solutions because of an electrical issue and they knew exactly what the problem was and exactly how to fix it. They saved me a bunch of time amd made it extremely affordable. Thanks so much San Francisco Automotive Solutions!!!!

I have been bringing my car to Pat and his team for about 17 years and would not dream of going anywhere else. Even now that I moved out of SF, I still drive in to have them work on my car. They are extremely honest, which we all know can be hard to find. They also take the time to explain how things work and why what is happening is happening (if you care to know). More importantly, they go above and beyond. I recently had my car break down while on a road trip and had it towed to a local mechanic. I texted Pat to let him know and right away he told me what probably had broken. When the local mechanic tried to pass off other work as needed, Pat called him and talked him through what needed to be fixed (and how he should not be trying to take me for unnecessary fixes). It was such a relief to have Pat "on my team"! I highly recommend them.

I really cannot recommend this shop enough. Pat got back to me so fast about a quote (via email and text) and when to bring my car into his shop. Him and his team had my car's needs addressed super fast; even below the quoted price. Expectations and updates were clearly set at points throughout this experience. Top notch service and experience.

Pat and his team are truly unique. Patient, kind, and most importantly honest. Three years ago, I had the misfortune of having my clutch give out on Polk, and the mechanic told me about this place. I have not been disappointed since. They have actively down-sold me on multiple items (type of clutch, side mirror, etc.). Their shop is clean and organized - a reflection of the quality of work they do. In short, I can't recommend these guys enough.

Pat was amazing! Came here not really knowing what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised at the warm service and detailed explanation of my car's situation. I admit that I don't know much about cars, but I did look up estimates from other auto shops and the prices were comparable. And the car wash I got after was much better than the washes from some dealerships! Icing on the cake! Thanks again for the amazing service.

My wife drove our family van carpooling with her colleagues to San Francisco for a conference. Unfortunately, the van would not start for the return trip the following morning. She had it towed to San Francisco Automotive Solutions and met by Patrick as she arrived. Later, she commented that she immediately liked and trusted his genuine professional, friendly and cheerful demeanor. He quickly diagnosed the problem, got the van started, and had her on her way within 15 minutes of her arrival. His clean shop, professionalism, and expertise resolved an otherwise very inconvenient and stressful situation quickly and effectively. If the star rating limit were any number greater than five, I would give San Francisco Automotive Solutions all of them without hesitation. Thank you, Patrick!

I've been having Pat work on my cars for years. I recently got a new Toyota FJ Cruiser, and had them completely overhaul it and they did an amazing job! I has new tires, rims, front Smittybuilt bumper, winch, front lights, fog lights, rear lights, and internal switches for the fog lights with 2 extra internal USB chargers with their own fuses. And also a new front custom grill. They also took off parts I needed to get painted, took them to the paint shop put them on afterwards. Bela the Technician really did a fantastic job with special attention to every custom detail. I would highly recommend them and will continue to use them for service and future mods for my off road 4x4...

I got a flat tire driving around San Francisco, so I called AAA to take me to a tire repair shop. They took me to San Francisco Automotive Solutions because it was the closest one near by. I called before they took me there to see if they do tire repairs - I was told that they really don't do that as a general rule, because they're not a tire shop, they're like a proper mechanic. Fortunately they had a few minutes free in their day and said for me to come on by. I did - and I found out that I ran over something nasty and my tire was shredded beyond repair. They didn't have my tires in stock (as I said, they're not a tire shop par se) - so I asked them to please mount my spare tire and I'd find some place to get some tires. They recommended some makes of tire for me, and when I went to pick up my car, they didn't charge me anything for all the trouble they'd gone through. Amazing, in this day and age! Outstanding service, very friendly, and if I lived in San Francisco, this is where I'd take my ride for service. Thanks guys!

This auto shop is awesome! Mechanics are really smart and professional. The shop is nice and clean and open. Owner is super nice and will work with your car care needs with you. Going in for an oil change Friday! Love this place!
