I have an older Jeep and if you're a Jeep owner, you know that sometimes the automotive universe conspires against you. However, Pat and the San Francisco Automotive Solutions team are the guys I trust when things go wrong. I've taken her (my Jeep) to them twice this year and both times, left satisfied with their work and smarter. Pat has walked me through the issues, why I'm hearing what I'm hearing or why she's running like she is running and for me, that's gold. When dealing with an older car/truck it's easy to get taken for a ride financially. However Pat has always been honest and candid with me, his prices are competitive, and I know what I'm getting involved in (financially and time-wise) before I say "do it". Just like you need a good accountant, doctor, and lawyer in your corner - a mechanic like Pat and his team at San Francisco Automotive Solutions are indispensable.

I am writing a very positive review about this shop even though I did not end up having my service there, but feel my experience with the owner (Pat) reflects well on the integrity he has as a business owner and on his work. Two weeks ago my car broke down and AAA towed it to his shop over the weekend because he is a recommended shop by AAA. I had him evaluate the car and received his diagnosis and estimate. I ended up having the car towed to my own mechanic to get the work done, and there was a small misunderstanding during the episode. My mechanic had the same diagnosis and said that Pat's estimate of what needed to be done was fair and correct. When I wrote a letter to Pat explaining my disappointment with what ended up being a misunderstanding, he explained his point of view and offered to return my original fee for the diagnostics. I didn't take it since he did do a great job with his initial diagnosis, and I think it reflects very well that he was willing to do that. I think it's clear that he takes a lot of pride in his work and the way he operates his company and if we end up having a car problem again in the future, we may go to him for service.

Pat and Bill went above and beyond in giving my honest and helpful advice when I wasn't even a customer. I came across All American because my car died at 11pm and the tow truck company towed it to AA so that it could be looked at the next morning. That car unfortunately died but I was able to leave it at AA until it was picked up by the donation company. I then bought a Certified Pre-Owned car that broke down the next weekend and was in the middle of a dispute with the mechanic that had installed the performance clutch that had gone awry, the consignment owner, and the dealer I'd bought the car from. I called AA out of desperation to try and get an objective knowledgeable opinion because I didn't know what to trust or do. Pat listened to my situation and said he'd call me back after doing some research on parts and a quote of what a reasonable labor amount would be for the repair and what his advice would be in this situation. It was a huge relief and he gave me excellent advice that helped me resolve the situation. I decided then and there that AA would be my mechanic of choice and am so grateful for their help.

Pat and his team did a great job on our 2004 BMW X3. Their shop is the cleanest I've seen and the mechanics are very experienced and professional. If you're looking for a good automotive repair shop in SF, I would recommend San Francisco Automotive Solutions.

I don't write many Yelp reviews, but the outstanding service from Bill at San Francisco Automotive Solutions is noteworthy. I'm a big car fan and have a myriad of aftermarket performance upgrades on my Audi A3. Unfortunately, right after getting some extensive aftermarket work done at a different, highly priced, race shop -- I broke down. A tow from AAA brought me to San Francisco Automotive Solutions and I was impressed! Bill fixed the issue and gave me a complete run down explanation of what caused the issue. Being a car enthusiast, I highly value mechanics inputs and those who take the time to teach you of the issues and the car - Bill and Pat did this. Given my fabulous first experience, I took my car back after my custom coil-over suspension had issues. Bill took the time to investigate the custom work and again pinpointed what was causing the issue. Bottom-line my experience at All-American is 5 stars. There is no questioning Bill and the team at All American take pride in their work and are great at it. Their pricing is very fair, in fact, I was expecting a much higher price tag for the work completed.

Pat was very helpful and friendly. I came in to reset my oil reader. I changed the oil myself and it needed to be reset and Pat did it for me free if charge and even took my old oil from me. Very nice.

Haven't written a review in a long time but the service I received from this place forced me to log in and let everyone know. I brought my older Cadillac (1999) in here with a pretty serious problem. It was intermittently stalling while I was driving it, not common for a fuel injected car. They spent much more than the hour they quoted (and charged) me trying to figure out what was wrong. Thank god they did because what they found really scared me. A wiring harness behind the engine had come loose and was touching the exhaust manifold. I have no idea how he figured this out and I don't know how long I would have been driving around with the car like this without their help. These are questions to which we should not speculate. In any case, they fixed it then showed me the fused wires they puled off of the manifold and pictures of the work they did behind engine. Much more detail and attention then I've had in any other shop. I've been looking for a shop for a long time and I think I've found it.
