I'm always suspicious of reviews for places that get only 5-star or 1-star reviews. You gotta figure that there are a few people out there with an ax to grind skewing the ratings for what is otherwise a perfectly acceptable establishment. You see it with pet-related stuff ("They love animals!" vs "They tried to kill my cat - I have proof!") and apparently, also, with car-related services.Hubby & I have been using Pat & his team at AAA since, oh, 2003 or 2004 for 4 different cars, US & foreign. Routine stuff (replace wiper that broke off), weird stuff ("what is that noise?") and referrals to other services (body work). We've always been totally satisfied with the work, never had to go back to have something re-done, never been sold something we didn't need. The prices aren't bargain-basement, but they are more than fair for quality work. Pat's a super-nice & funny guy, and I love the garage itself - if I were a mechanic I'd like to work in a place like it. And there's a Starbucks nearby if you have to wait for something! Don't hesitate to use these guys, they're great. We spend a lot of time down in the Palm Springs area & I only wish they had a satellite office there!

Pat is the best! I have never experienced a more friendly, fair, flexible, and kind mechanic! He explained in detail what was wrong with my car and waited patiently as I asked a million questions. He was always available to talk whenever I called, never made me feel like an idiot, and wasn't at all patronizing (a seemingly common car mechanic technique in my experience).Last year when I needed a new battery, Pat was right there at my service and I was able to get my car back within a few hours. After a recent incident, I decided that I wanted to try and learn some new skills and replace my radiator on my own. Pat was gracious and understanding, and even offered to answer any questions over the phone about the process if I needed any help along the way!Pat really puts his blood, sweat, and heart into this company. I guarantee you will be taken care of if you bring your vehicle here!

Best Shop in San Francisco. I have taken my car to All American Automotive for seven years. Pat has always been a complete professional. The prices are fair and the work is always done right and they take the time to answer my questions. I recommend my family and friends.

Brought my 2004 Audi in for a smog check which should have passed except for an unrelated check engine light which caused an automatic fail. I was disappointed at having to pay the full price initially, but when I brought my car back for the certificate two weeks later (after resolving the check engine light issue), Pat ran my smog check and only charged me the cost of the certificate itself! He and his mechanics were friendly, candid, and treated me with respect unlike many other mechanics who assume females don't know anything about cars. I will bring my car back here the next time I need any work done. It's hard finding mechanics I feel that I can trust.

I took my Chevy here about a year ago when the water pump broke and I needed a rattling bracket fixed. They did excellent work and charged a very reasonable amount (which I know because I shopped around). They also showed me a crack in my exhaust pipe that I was completely unaware of.Recently, I took my car back to have the exhaust system fixed along with some electrical problems. I had also complained about the shocks and thought they needed replacing. A more unscrupulous mechanic would have probably just replaced the shocks and exhaust system, but they informed me that the shocks were fine and that just the pipe could be replaced. They fixed both issues and charged me under $300 total. They even told me my brake pads look good. I consider Patrik and his team to be honest and skilled mechanics and I highly recommend their shop.

Took my older 3/4 ton truck here for a pretty long list of repairs, ranging from mundane to extensive. Bela worked on my truck and I couldn't be happier with his work. One repair involved taking apart the entire dash assembly and later reinstalling all the various parts back together. Not one rattle after the repair was done, which is very impressive, given the age of the truck and the amount of parts that had to come off to facilitate changing the failed heater core. I even got a list of must fixes vs. should fixes. I'd recommend these guys. Ask for Bela, he knows his s*it and takes the time to explain everything to you.

I've been going to San Francisco Automotive Solutions for five years and highly recommend them. I've always been satisifed with the estimates and the work they perfomed. This is a business that you can have confidence in and I know that they work hard to keep that confidence.

My Subaru Legacy GT had severely warped rotors after a mere 30K miles and and I had brought my car to San Francisco Automotive Solutions as I assumed the rotors were bad, considering the low mileage on my car and how I have been very mindful about checking the brake pad thickness. After verifying the rotors were in fact warped, Pat explained how this is very common with Japanese performance cars because of how the rotors are engineered to be light for fuel economy and therefore marketing greenwashing rather than for longevity. When I consider the energy required to make steel I shudder to think how someone who purports to be eco-minded would make this call, but I digress. After replacing them with better grade but still reasonably priced rotors I found that after 9 months they were already starting to warble and I brought the car back assuming they had already warped. Sigh. Much to my surprise, He replaced them with the more expensive rotors that had features to help better prevent the warping in the future, and only charged me the difference in the part price! This is the kind of treatment that has kept me a customer of AAA for over 6 years and through 2 cars. I would stick my neck out to say this is a great shop with skilled and trustworthy people and that Pat is a man of integrity and runs his shop in kind.
